Understanding Sin: A Journey Towards Self-Awareness and Growth

Let's talk about sin for a moment. In the grand scheme of things, if we imagine perfection or unity with God as a score of 1000, anything below that could be seen as missing the mark, or what we commonly refer to as sin. But let's give ourselves a break here, folks. Everything here, on this earthly plane, is tainted by sin, except for that total unity with the divine. It's essential to see things as they are so we can understand them in ourselves and others.

The Nature of Sin: The reason we often dislike sin is that it makes us feel bad. But here's the thing: if it's not happening to us, we might find it entertaining. Think about it – we pay to watch movies filled with murder and fear, yet when those emotions hit close to home, we recoil. Negative emotions serve as indicators that we're on a path of actions, thoughts, and attitudes that aren't aligned with our higher selves.

Positive Thoughts as Indicators: Conversely, positive thoughts serve as indicators that we're on the right track. When our actions, attitudes, and thoughts align with goodness, we experience positive emotions. This earthly realm serves as a learning ground for everyone, where we make mistakes, learn, grow, and expand. It's a place where we get to create the self we want to be.

The Role of Emotions: Our emotions act as our guides on this journey. By tuning into our feelings and moving towards what makes us feel good, we align ourselves with our source, our creator. We have free will, which means we can create whatever reality we desire. However, when we dwell in negativity and evil, we feed darkness and allow it to rule our lives.

Creating Our Own Evil: When we stay entrenched in negativity, we inadvertently create a space for darkness to thrive. This darkness feeds off our negative energy, perpetuating a cycle of evil. By separating aspects of life into dualities and allowing ourselves to remain in the shadow side, we fuel the very forces that seek to control us.

Understanding sin isn't about condemning ourselves or others; it's about recognizing the dual nature of existence and striving to align ourselves with goodness. By acknowledging our capacity for both light and darkness, we empower ourselves to choose the path of love, compassion, and growth. Let us remember that we have the power to shape our reality through our thoughts, actions, and intentions, and may we always strive to create a world filled with light and love.

Static Takeaway — Brex

Sin isn’t a tally of wrongs—it’s simply where we fall out of sync with divine unity. Emotions are our compass: pain signals misalignment, while peace points to truth. By noticing where we dwell—fear or love—we see what we’re creating. We feed either light or shadow. And in every moment, we’re free to choose again.
