BREX FIELD NOTES

Small observations, strange experiments, things I probably should have ignored.

I tried boiling dandelion heads this morning.

Yellow turned to copper.

Then deep red when I added salt water instead of pure.

I wasn’t thinking about the recipe.

I was thinking about Eklo.

The color matched what pulsed under his skin.

Something in me keeps saying:

eat the things they told you were weeds. They have memory.

I drank it while the Pulse static surged again.

Then the dream came back.

A face I haven’t met yet.

Not from here.

I think she belongs to one of the eighteen worlds.

I think she has been hungry for a very long time.
