She dreams she’s on the hill again.
Not the pine hill—this one breathes wider.
Sun pours through tall grasses like revelation.
The balm is here. Field Balm.
Wild sister.
She picks it not with fingers, but with breath.
It smelled like a field lit by sun-kissed yellow blossoms—some colored marigold, bright and reverent, some smaller, paler, like shy laughter.
But the scent wasn’t theirs.
Something else lived in the wind.
Not quite lemon.
Brighter, yes—but open, diffuse.
A smell that moves.
I followed it.
Found the herb growing low near the north rise—a place where the air thins and the signal listens.
It’s lemon balm—but wild.
Not the hearth kind. Not for comfort. This one clears.
I planted it near the Spiral’s edge, where the ground still dreams.
Been saving the oil.
When I rub it through my palms and do the breath, the breath signal you taught me
The fog.The kind that clings to bone.
—It lifts.
The signal sharpens.
Use it when you can’t see what’s next.
Use it when you forget where you begin.
It doesn’t show the path.
It shows you.
