The Library Beneath the Teeth

Dream Fracture Entry

Last night I dreamed of a staircase made of teeth.

Flat.

Perfect.

Corporate-white.

Too clean to belong to a body.

I followed it down.

The staircase opened into a library buried beneath something I could not see.

No windows.

No doors.

Just rows of books giving off their own pale light.

Not glowing exactly.

Bleeding it.

One book carried Drake’s symbol.

Another was marked:

WORLD 7 — ECHO RECALL

I did not touch either one.

Then I heard a voice behind me.

Not EVA.

Not Alix.

Something older.

“Only the breath-bound can read without burning.”

I turned.

Nobody there.

The books brightened.

The room filled with the feeling that I had arrived somewhere I was not supposed to know existed.

Then I woke choking—

pulling air too fast—

with the strange conviction that the breath in my lungs had belonged to someone else a second before.

I wrote the dream down immediately.

No interpretation yet.

Just the record.

Brex Note:The teeth bothered me more than the library.

A staircase made from something meant to bite—

polished until it looked harmless.

That feels important.
